Women's MinistryWomen’s Morning Bible StudyWe meet every Wednesday from 9:15am-11:30am at church in the Multi-Purpose Room. We have coffee, tea and some light refreshments and enjoy a time of singing, fellowship, Bible Study and prayer. Childcare is available. Women of all ages participate in this from young moms with little children to older women with grandchildren and great grandchildren. We would love to have you come and join us! During the summer (June – August) the Women’s Bible Study will be meeting at Tudek Park at 9:30am and studying the book of Philippians. There will be a children’s playground adjacent to the pavilion where the study will take place. Do you work during the day?Through out the school year, different small groups of women gather for eight-week long, evening Bible studies. They meet on the weekday evening convenient for the majority of women involved. Sometimes we study the exact material studied in the morning Bible Study; other times we study an outside book. The focus also varies, depending on the women's needs, but includes prayer, study, and sharing. Location is determined by women involved. Activities:Fall Women's Conference"Uncommon Beauty" is the theme for an area wide Fall Women's Conference being planned for October 24-25th, 2008. The speaker will be Cynthia Heald, bestselling author and speaker. The cost will be $20/person and $15/student. To register call the church office at 237-8020 and information will be sent to you.Women’s RetreatOnce a year, all the women in the church are invited to a weekend retreat. This is a wonderful time for women to reconnect, to get to know women they do not see on a regular basis, and form new relationships. Mom’s Morning Out:A few weeks before Christmas each year the Wednesday morning Women’s Bible Study provides an opportunity for young moms to have the morning off! Children enjoy the morning of crafts, games and lunch. This gives the mothers time to shop, prep for Christmas, have lunch with their husbands, or just have a couple hours for themselves. Titus 2 Women’s MinistryTitus 2 reminds us of the importance of relationships between older and younger women within the church. Pastor Tober has worked with the older women to explain and encourage them in this passage to reach out to the younger women. The vision has been cast and we look forward to partnering with one another to fulfill this mission. VisionOur vision is to provide a venue for preparing women for ministry within their homes, their workplaces, their neighborhood, community and the world at large. Whatever season of life one is in, she has opportunities to reflect Christ’s love and grace to those around her. |
