FAQs

Is there a dress code at your Church?

We do not have a dress code at SCEFC. Many people opt for casual dress attire (slacks and a shirt for men, casual dresses and skirts for women). Others prefer to wear suits or ties and jackets, and our youth enjoy jeans and t-shirts. Any of these are perfectly acceptable, but please wear what you find comfortable and what best prepares you to worship and praise God.

Is there anything different between your two services?

This may sound strange, but no. The services will be identical in all intents and purposes. Even the worship will be the same songs led by the same team. Our choice to offer two services stems from our desire to be able to reach more people than our 200 seat auditorium allows with only one service.

Where is the Church located?

The Church is located at 1243 Blue Course Drive. If you traveling from Downtown, take College Ave. Turn left onto Blue Course Drive, at the stop light after the "Waffle Shop". You will drive past Westerly Parkway and a large soccer field on your left. Our church is visible on the small hill to the left, set back a bit from the road. Directions & Map

Do I have to send my children to Children's Church if I attend the second service?

Not at all, as we welcome you to keep your children with you if you so desire. However, we encourage you to give Children's Church a chance. During the 10:45am service, children age 3 and up through 5th grade enjoy their own exciting and innovative service in the Multi-Purpose Room! After a fifteen minute singing and worship time students break into groups. Three to five year olds use an age appropriate curriculum (Disciple-land) focusing on biblical application while the 1st-5th graders experience the “The Way of the Wise” from Children Desiring God. Students rotate through fifteen minute stations that include a focus on scripture memory, teaching from the bible and application of the lesson. This curriculum uses the book of Proverbs and other bible passages to contrast the way of the foolish with the way of the wise. Children learn about the characteristics and destinations of the foolish and the wise, the meaning of the fear of the Lord, the treasure of wisdom, and the only way to enter the way of the wise--through Jesus Christ.

What times are your services?

We offer two services on Sunday morning, at 9:00 and 10:45am. Childcare is available during both services. We host a special new Children's Church during our second service at 10:45am. During the summer services will be held at 10am (until August.) Nursery & children's church for preschool and elementary age children are provided.

Is your Church handicap accessible?

Yes. There are no steps to enter the front door and no steps inside the building. Feel free to use the handicap drop off at the front doors. Handicap accessible bathrooms are located in both the CE wing and the main building.
